Ramsay Cascade Falls, Smoky Mountains

After a long ardous 4mile hike up the trail, we were truly rewarded by this wonderful sight. Our pants were soaked wet in icy cold water, I wonder how we managed to hold on until the photo was made.

The water fall is over 100 Feet tall and during the four mile hike you gain an elevation of about 2400 feet. Be prepared for colder weather as the temperature could easily change by over 20F during the hike. It's streneous, but well worth it.

This shot did not have much of color detail so I decided to change it to Black and White. I did a bit of split toning to bring out the contrast in the image.
